Rachel Sheeran

Rachel holds a leading position on the Executive Board of the Graphic Artists Guild as Secretary, where she also plays a pivotal role in the Advocacy Committee. Her efforts center on protecting visual artists’ interests, addressing critical issues such as AI ingestion, copyright, intellectual property protections, collective licensing, and the development of tools and policies to support creatives and the creative economy.

She built a career in the Creative Advertising industry as a Freelance Associate Creative Director and Art Director working at the intersection of storytelling, design, and innovation within the creative advertising industry. In her career, she’s led the creative charge across broadcast, social activations, animation, immersive world-building, and integrated brand campaigns for major clients like eBay, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Puma, Hallmark, Lenovo, Bolt, Samsung, Tempur-Pedic, and Edward Jones.

Rachel is also a founding member of Crimebabies, an experimental AI, tech & art collective, exploring the future of creativity and emerging technologies through the lens of ethical practices, further solidifying her forward-thinking approach to the creative landscape. Additionally, she serves as Co-Director of Mograph Meetup, a dynamic networking platform that fosters connections among motion designers and animators, strengthening community ties and professional growth.

Collaborating closely with diverse teams—designers, storyboard artists, animators, sculptors, and film production professionals—Rachel brings a cross-disciplinary perspective that enhances her ability to navigate and influence the evolving creative industry. While her professional focus is on her work as an Art and Creative Director, her impact with ASCRL lies in her strategic leadership, advocacy work, and commitment to empowering creatives through robust business and organizational initiatives.
