ASCRL Member Information Updates

*NEW WEBSITE! NEW PORTAL!! *
The new ASCRL website is now live. As is the new ASCRL web portal. To log in to the portal from the web page, Members should click the Join/Login navigation tab, and then enter their email as their username, and enter the password. If you are logging in for the first time, you will need to set a new password. The new platform will not remember your old password.
*DISTRIBUTION NEWS *
The ASCRL Board of Advisors has set the calendar for 2022 distributions. Members can view the Calendar by clicking the Financials navigation tab.

USING THE NEW WEB PORTAL
The new portal is an improved user experience. To avoid common user errors:
-1 USER NAMES/PASSWORDS. Your user name is your email. YOU MUST SET UP A NEW PASSWORD if you have not already done so. YOUR OLD PASSWORD for the old platform WILL NOT WORK!
-2 USE BUSINESS NAME ONLY IF YOUR BUSINESS HAS A SEPARATE EIN. In your personal details page, use your individual name. DO NOT ADD A BUSINESS NAME Or a Trade Name, UNLESS YOU HAVE A SEPARATE TAX IDENTIFICATION NUMBER or "EIN" FOR YOUR BUSINESS. If you do enter a business name YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER THE BUSINESS START DATE, and you will be required to provide the business EIN in the Tax Information Section. PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SEPARATE EIN FOR YOUR BUSINESS, DO NOT ENTER A BUSINESS NAME OR BUSINESS START DATE.
-3 PUT A 1 BEFORE YOUR CELL PHONE NUMBER. Enter a "1" before your cell phone number. If you don't do this, we cannot send you an authentication code to validate your payment information for ACH transfers to your bank. You will receive PayPal payments rather than ACH transfers if you do not authenticate. PayPal will deduct a small fee. Foreign nationals with USA publications PLEASE NOTE. WE HAVE YOU COVERED!. Since you cannot receive ACH transfers to a foreign account you will be paid through PayPal, and you will receive a notification to your email to claim your funds through PayPal.
-4 USE THE EYEBALL AND SCROLL TO BOTTOM TO ACCEPT TERMS. To accept the terms and conditions, click the "eyeball," and scroll down through all of the terms and conditions in order to activate the submit button.
-5 USE THE EDIT BUTTONS TO EDIT INFORMATION. Click the appropriate "EDIT" button if it seems you are unable to change or edit your information. The EDIT buttons are your friends! If you do not see the edit button, try scrolling up or down the page. It is there. Trust Us!
-6 ONLY THREE PUBLICATIONS NEED TO BE LISTED. BUT DECLARE NUMBERS FOR ALL WORKS AND MEDIA EVEN IF YOU ONLY LIST THRIEE. You need only list three publications in the publications table on the "Publications Tab." However, you must give your estimated totals for three categories: books, magazines, and urls. On the publications tab, click the appropriate books, magazines or url tabs (left side of page), and give your estimated number of illustrations or photographs in each separate category. Then give the total number of different publications in which the works appear. (The August issue of time magazine is 1 publication, not the circulation of the magazine!).
-7 TO UPLOAD ID OR TAX FORMS, USE SHORT FILE NAMES WITH LETTERS ONLY. When you upload a tax form or identification, use a file name containing only letters that is ten characters long or shorter. Other names might work, but they may also lead to upload problems.
-8 CALL OR EMAIL ASCRL IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR PORTAL. WE ARE HERE TO HELP.
